PUNTA CANA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC & CABO SAN LUCA, MEXICO

Christina just spent two weeks in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic at the Melia Caribe Tropical on a two-wave incentive trip of 400 guests in each wave. While Christina was in Punta Cana with half the attendees, the other half was spending their time in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the Melia Cabo Real. This incentive posted a new challenge for Christina and Renaissance as it was the first program to be done in two separate locations simultaneously. Christina planned and executed both destinations treating it as two separate programs because of the many different elements. She was able to create a memorable, once in a lifetime trip that guests will continue to talk about for years to come.

Guests arrived on-site from across the country to their designated destination where an ice-cold beverage awaited them in the trip logo colors to set the mood and tone for the trip. Also upon arrival, they received their detailed welcome letter, which included pre-confirmed restaurant reservations throughout their stay based upon their registration requests giving them one less thing to think about on vacation.

After settling in their deluxe guestrooms, guests were invited to join us on the beach for a Welcome Reception with local fare. In Punta Cana, guests dined on local Dominican favorites such as plantains and croquettes and listened to a Merengue band on the beach. Attendees in Cabo enjoyed ceviche and tamales mingling to the sounds of a local Mariachi band.

Attendees were able to enjoy their leisurely days on their own at the beach, sipping cocktails with fellow colleagues at the swim-up pool bar, having a massage or enjoying one of the energy packed excursions planned for them.

Two amazing excursions included a trip to a local Marine Park where guests had the thrill of swimming with real sharks before cruising on a glass bottom catamaran. Attendees in Punta Cana were able to go to Altos de Chavon, which houses a 500-seat roman amphitheatre that was inaugurated by Frank Sinatra and Carlos Santana.

Guests also really enjoyed SKYPE Call Center we created in each of the hotels making phone calls to home easy and… free! People lined up for this feature to call and tell about their day on the beach or just to "check in". It was definitely a hit.

This year's trip provided unforgettable memories and left guests motivated to earn the trip next year!
